Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder with High- Functioning among Children Aged 7–12 Years Old

Background. Many people with high-functioning autism are not diagnosed and treated until pre-school or early school years. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence spectrum disorder in 7-12 year-old students Arak city order identify these individuals prevent further harm by intervention. Methods. This Cross-sectional analytical conducted on 2864 male female first sixth grades primary schools who had an IQ 70 above, using ASSQ questionnaire between October 2017 June 2018. is related screening for spectrum, its validity reliability were established Kasechi at University Social Welfare Sciences 2013 Tehran. Individuals scored 22 higher identified as having disorder. Results. In study, elementary average age 9.16 years (minimum 7 maximum 12 years) evaluated. 1.7% variable P.value = 0.003 (The highest group a 3.1% lowest 8 9 0.7%) gender p 0.002 (1.1% boy 2.3% girl students) made significant difference girls than boys.
